SURFACE: Turf and Dirt
AGE: For Three Years Old and Upward
DISTANCES: Five and One Half Furlongs, Six to Seven Furlongs, One Mile, One Mile and One Quarter.
COMPETITION: Fillies and Mares, Colts and Geldings
THE NTL DRAFT
WHO: Your horse can enter the NTL Races and be draft for the event or for the season
WHAT: Getting drafted by the NTL gives your horse the opportunity to win the NTL league.
WHERE: 15 races across three events in 2024:
- Kentucky Downs on September 1
- Parx Racing in Philadelphia on October 19
- Turf Paradise in Phoenix on December 30
WHEN: Entries are now open and close five to seven days before race day.
THE DRAFT: The NTL Draft occurs within 24 hours after closing of the race.
HOW: The NTL works closely with each track’s racing secretary and horsemen. Competitive races to maximize Fan Fun and Engagement
POINTS: Horses that compete in NTL races earn career points and eligible for awards and prizes beyond purse winnings (e.g. NTL Horse of the Year)
